Tucked away in the downtown area, The Stick in the Mud Coffee House offers a unique west coast experience.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a mix of different seating areas, including an outdoor tented area and smaller tables available indoors.
Soon as you walk in, you get a funky vibe, energetic baristas and a yummy menu with treats and sandwiches.
Our favs are the breakfast Egg-a-majig and the homemade ice cream sandwiches. The Stick also offers gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian treats and food options.
Next door, Stick In The Mud roasts its own coffee; because of this, you will see their logo at most restaurants and coffee shops in the area.
For great coffee and a fun experience, the Stick in the Mud is a popular stop for locals and visitors to Sooke. Don’t forget about the ice cream sandwich.
The charismatic and quirky David Evans opened The Stick on 07/07/07. Since then, he has added the “Roastoreum”, the kitchen they call the “The Treat Lab” and he has expanded the business to enjoy The Stick in the Mud coffee in cafes and restaurants around the Southern Island.
