Officially called the Spring Salmon Place Campground but is commonly known as the Sooke Potholes Campground. A quiet campground with private sites nestled between the Sooke River and the Galloping Goose multi-use trail. This wonderful campground offers biking, hiking and swimming, all just up from the Sooke famous Sooke Potholes.

Campground Fees

  • Fees (all payable by cash only)
  • $25/night; $10 extra vehicle;
  • $15/night bicycle tent pad;
  • $7 firewood

Campground Rules

  • First come, first serve
  • Stay is limited to 14 days a year
  • Check-in time 1pm, check-out time by 11am
  • Quiet time 10pm to 7am
  • Generator use is permitted 9-11am & 6-8pm
  • Visitors must leave the campground by 8:30pm
  • Alcohol is not permitted outside the campsite
  • Smoking prohibited
  • Fires are permitted in designated fire rings unless a ban is in place during high to extreme fire hazard ratings
  • Dogs on leashes in the campground, pick up dog dropping
  • Leave no trace and carry out litter

 

Helpful Tips

  • First come, first serve
  • Cash only-pay at the booth just past Parking lot #3 at Sooke Potholes
  • Sites are small, great for tenting and vans and small trailers
  • Little to no cell service in the area
