This rustic campground is next to some of the best surfing on South Vancouver Island. Waterfront camping in Jordan River along the Juan de Fuca Strait.
The Jordan River Campground on south Vancouver Island is a first come, first serve campground with little privacy but is located right on the shoreline next to great surfing.
The rustic campground has a total of 23 sites. 15 drive-in and 7 walk-in tent-only sites, each with a fire ring.
Jordan River Regional Park Campground is part of the larger 187-hectare Regional Park, including Sandcut Beach.
Jordan River was once a tiny village. After a risk assessment, the hydro company bought the homes due to the risk of the Jordan River Dam breaching during a large earthquake.
Today, the strip includes a small coffee shop, the odd food truck and access points for the many surfers who come from the near by cities of Sooke and Victoria to enjoy the easily accessible waves.
