Sooke has a boutique and artisan shopping scene that rewards visitors who know where to look.
The shops don’t cluster on a walkable main street. They run along a stretch of Sooke Road between the Evergreen Centre and the harbour, with a few tucked a block off the main drag.
Once you know the layout, it’s a straightforward loop. This guide covers the shops worth stopping for, with parking notes below and a link to the full 19-store directory if you want to plan the whole visit in advance.

Sooke is a working town that grew up around logging and fishing, and the commercial strip reflects that history.
Shops developed in pieces rather than as a planned downtown, which is why they’re scattered across a two-kilometre stretch of Sooke Road rather than stacked side by side on a main street. The shops featured below are the ones we’d send our own visitors to first.
The map above is your starting point. It shows how the shops sit along the corridor and makes the two-kilometre spread a lot easier to navigate.
