If you’re ready to experience fishing in Sooke, look no further than Tips Up Sport Fishing Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Eugene Baldwin, which means you’ll tap into years of angling experience.

Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod, and more can be found in these waters if you come at the right time of year. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Capt. Eugene will bring you aboard a 26’ Aluminum fishing boat that can carry 4 to 6 passengers, depending on size. It has downriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It’s always wise to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask.

And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Tips Up Sport Fishing Charters is just a click away.
