Learn to paddleboard in Victoria, then actually go for a tour

This is the SUP session that gets you off the beach and onto the water with confidence. You’ll learn the basics (safely, quickly, and without feeling rushed), then you’ll use those new skills on a short guided tour so it all clicks while you’re still smiling.

It’s 90 minutes total, capped at just 6 participants, so you’ll get real coaching instead of trying to copy someone else from a distance.

Why book this SUP lesson and tour?

If you’ve ever thought “I want to try paddleboarding, but I don’t want to wipe out in front of everyone”, this is your move. You’ll start with the fundamentals, then you’ll practise them in real conditions with a guide nearby.

What makes it worth it

Small group coaching: With a max of 6 people, you’ll get hands-on help with stance, balance, turning, and efficient paddling, so you improve fast.

Short tour included: You won’t finish the lesson wondering what to do next. You’ll head out on a guided paddle right away and feel the difference.

Safety-first, beginner-friendly: You’ll cover key safety basics, wear a lifejacket, and learn the habits that make SUP feel relaxed instead of sketchy.

Best for

  • First-timers who want a confident start
  • Travellers who want a quick, active add-on in Victoria
  • Anyone who wants to improve technique, not just stand up once

Not the best fit for

  • People looking for a long-distance fitness paddle
  • Anyone who wants a fully private lesson (this is a small group)

What will you do on the water?

The exact launch spot can change based on weather and wind, but the flow stays the same: learn the essentials, then put them into practice on a short guided tour.

Step-by-step experience

1. Meet your guide and gear up
You’ll meet at the launch area, get set up with your board, paddle, and lifejacket, then do a quick safety rundown before you start.

2. Learn the SUP basics
You’ll practise the fundamentals: how to stand comfortably, how to paddle efficiently, how to turn, and how to stay in control without wasting energy.

3. Put it together on a short guided tour
Once you’ve got the key skills, you’ll head out on a short tour to practise in real time with your guide nearby for tips (and photos).

4. Wrap up with practical takeaways
You’ll leave knowing what gear matters, how to look after it, and what to focus on the next time you paddle.

What’s included?

  • Basic SUP lesson focused on safety, skills, and efficient paddling technique
  • Short guided tour with an opportunity for photos
  • Knowledge on necessary gear and how to care for it
