You’re likely to go after Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Halibut, and more, depending on the conditions. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, so long as they’re within the legal limit. The crew can even clean your catch for you. Now that’s dinner!
Trips with Full Melt Charters are open to the whole family, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks – luckily, Capt. Wayne will have some on board!
You’ll be casting lines from a 23’ Grady-White fishing with room for 5 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It’s always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
