Highlights:
We start the tour at our kiosk inside the historic Steamship Terminal Building before a quick walk to our first stop, trendy Bar 500. Here, we welcome you with an amuse-bouche and a glass of sparkling BC wine. This dish is always changing depending on what is in season at this Italian-inspired farm-to-table restaurant.
After a lovely stroll along the inner harbour, we arrive at our second location, the award-winning The Courtney Room, inside the Magnolia Hotel. Chef Brian Tesolin will create a variety of appetizers using locally foraged and seasonal ingredients.
This restaurant was recently voted Best West Coast Contemporary Restaurant and was listed as one of the Top 10 Best New Restaurants by En Route Magazine in 2019. We will pair this dish with your choice of either a red or white wine from Vancouver Island.
The tour then strolls to Blanshard Street, a favourite foodie neighbourhood among the locals, for our main dish at L’Apero Wine & Cheese Bistro. Here, we sample a traditional Alpine dish called Raclette. A half-wheel of cheese is heated up and scraped onto your plate on a bed of potatoes, meats, and salad. A dinner and a show!
Once again, guests have the option to pair either a red or a white wine from BC. A short walk later takes us to the breathtaking restaurant inside the famous Empress Hotel.
We will end the tour with a decadent dessert from the stunning Q At The Empress Restaurant made by their famous pastry chefs who curate their world-renowned high tea experience. We pair the dessert with a port-style dessert wine made in the Cowichan Valley, about an hour from Victoria. We leave you inside the Empress Hotel to linger and relax. The perfect way to end the evening.
