The Crazy Cookie House is run by the McArthur family from their property in Metchosin. All cookies and treats are baked in their on-site, VIHA-inspected commercial kitchen. The cookie recipe has roots in an earlier generation of McArthurs who ran a baking business in Canterbury, England, and has since been adapted for the Canadian market and the creative toppings the stand is known for.
The driftwood dragon guarding the entrance, Doug H. Dragon, was designed and built by Paul Lewis, a local driftwood artist whose work also appears along Esquimalt Lagoon and in East Sooke.
